Graduate Writing Group # Session B
October 25 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Increase Your Productivity with a Graduate Writing Group
Are you worried about making progress on your thesis or dissertation this semester? Could you benefit from regular writing time, accountability, weekly writing goals, and a community of writers? If so, join one of the KU Writing Center’s accountability writing groups for graduate students.
What: All writing groups are “accountability” groups and include up to 10 graduate students. Members set goals and use the entire time to write. Each group is led by a trained writing group facilitator who is available to offer help with goal setting and optional individual writing consultations.
When: Choose the group that best fits your schedule.
- Accountability Writing Group #1: Mondays, 10am-12pm (Sept. 9 – Dec. 9)
- Accountability Writing Group #2: Wednesdays, 10am-12pm (Sept. 11 – Dec. 11)
- Accountability Writing Group #3 Session A: Fridays, 12-2pm (Sept. 13 – Oct. 18)
- Accountability Writing Group #3 Session B: Fridays, 12-2pm (Oct. 25 – Dec. 6)
Where: All groups will be held in Room 421 on the 4th floor of Anschutz Library on the Lawrence campus.
Who: Groups are open to all graduate students, regardless of department or year of study.
How to register: Visit the Writing Center’s graduate writing groups webpage for more information and to register online. Spots are awarded on a first come, first served basis and are very popular. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. (Note: You may register for more than one group and/or more than one session).
